Born and raised in Amherst County, VA. Dr. Golden attended Holy Cross Catholic School from 1st-12th grade and graduated in 1985. After high school, Dr. Golden enlisted in the United States Navy where he was a Steelworker in the Seabees. After active duty, he remained in the U.S. Naval Reserves thru college. He graduated from Central Virginia Community College in 1991, and transferred to Virginia Commonwealth University where he completed his undergraduate studies. Dr. Golden graduated from Medical College of Virginia/VCU School of Dentistry in 1997. While at college he met his wife, Wendy. They were married in 1996. After graduation from dental school, he joined his father’s practice. His father, Dr. Thomas Golden, started the practice in 1965. In 2001, he bought the practice and continues to serve the central Virginia area. He is an active member of The Virginia Dental Association, American Dental Association, Virginia Academy of Dentistry, Academy of General Dentistry as well as local and international study clubs. Dr. Golden has completed over 500 hours of continuing education in the various aspects of dentistry. He is currently pursuing a fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry. He and his wife Wendy have 3 children, Noah, Lynley and Haden.
